Who We Are
Our annual Pet Extravaganza has been a cooperative effort with Cal State Fullerton Students
Friends of Lake Forest Animals was established to promote the general welfare of all animals domestic and wild in the city of Lake Forest. In order to create a safe harbor for the city's lost stray and abandoned pets we will continue to lobby our city council to provide a locally controlled pro-humane animal shelter supported by active community volunteers.
In our efforts to support the community's animals, specific emphasis will be placed on increasing public awareness of the current treatment of the community's homeless pets.

What We Do
'Donation of pet oxygen masks to the El Toro Fire Station.
The masks are cone shaped, fit standard oxygen tanks and easily fit over the noses of dogs and cats'
We will work to improve the treatment of all animals living both with and amongst us in the city of Lake Forest. By actively promoting spay & neuter, we hope to help reduce the number of homeless pets. We will promote pet adoption from shelters and rescues as a first choice for pet selection. We will encourage responsible pet ownership and provide fun community events where pets and their families are welcome. We will promote a pro-humane Lake Forest and champion our belief that pets are a part of the family.
We hope to make Lake Forest as safe a place to live for our animals as it is for each of us.

Who's Your Daddy?
Friends of Lake Forest Animals has partnered with Bio Pet Vet Lab to help adopted pets answer that age-old question. If you are curious about your pet's heritage, FOLFA will send you a DNA Breed Identification Test Kit free of charge.
The kits are easy to use and contain everything you need to collect a DNA swab from inside your dog's mouth. This process is simply and will not hurt your dog. Once you have collected the swab, return it to Bio Pet Vet Lab in the postage paid envelope along with a check or credit card for $59.95. Within two weeks you will receive an Ancestry Analysis Certificate, suitable for framing, with your dog's DNA analysis.
For every analysis completed, Bio Pet Vet Lab will donate $20 to FOLFA. To receive your free test kit, send your mailing address to info@folfa.org. For more information on the DNA test, visit www.BioPetVetLab.com.
